Until recently, I was part of a great group of faculty that do security at the University of Michigan. They are an awesome bunch with whom I still occasionally collaborate.

I have taught a variety of systems classes including Operating Systems, Networking, Distributed Systems, and Security. Recent classes include:

Research

At the University of Illinois I perform research on the security and availability of complex distributed systems. My work informs both the development of such systems as well as the sciences of computer security, networking, and distributed systems.
